3rd Quarter comes to an end

The third quarter is almost done, and if it's compared to the previous quarter, this quarter is the most exhausting for me. Even though this quarter is very exhausting because there are a lot of things to do, I learned a lot from it. Also, I enjoyed the celebration of 122nd High School Day.

Time management helps me a lot this quarter because we have consecutive activities and quizzes, and we also have to finish our thematic this week. I also learned how to listen to others advice, especially when I knew it could help me grow and become wiser. During the practice for High School Day, I learned how to be obedient and follow what the teacher said. Lastly, I learned to pass my requirements on time.

In conclusion, I can say that even if there are many things to do, I can finish them and pass them on time. For the last quarter, I hope I can also focus on my studies and do my best because next month is R1AA and we need to be prepared.

Treasure of Caoayan

Caoayan Ilocos Sur is well known for abel making. As we conduct research about this topic, I felt excited because this product is not just ordinary but a treasure from Caoayan that came from their ancestors. My classmate that is also from Caoayan is the one who recommended this topic because we can still do research without spending money.

Before we conduct this research,  we equally divide first the parts of the research so that everyone of us has a contribution to this output. After that, each of us happily shared what we know about abel making. Mark is the one who takes a picture of abel making and even if we are not given the chance to see the abel making, we are still happy to see that until now they still continue what their ancestors have started. After all the data gathering and other parts of the research, we finished our research about abel making with a smile on our face.

Overall, conducting research about abel making is so much fun to do because this product is from the ancestors of people from Caoayan Ilocos Sur. abel is made with very unique fabric and was made with love from the people of caoayan.

After that, while other students are busy eating their food, grade 7 boys are the first to show their prepared presentation and other levels will be the next. To add more information, each grade level prepared a different festival dance and they had very colorful props that made the festival dance more realistic. Lastly is the concert at isnhs gymnasium, all students who take part in the said concert enjoyed, and had so much fun during the concert and also those students who sang and who played instruments.

Ilocos Sur National High School 122nd high school day celebration is very memorable and so much fun. If you are a future grade 7 student, I encourage you to study at Ilocos Sur National High School to experience this wonderful event.

A Campus Haven for Innovation, Entertainment, and Entrepreneurship

A student-run ICT booth at our campus combines technology, entertainment, and entrepreneurship, creating a vibrant hub for the student community. This multifunctional space caters to technological needs by offering services like troubleshooting and software support, fostering collaboration and enhancing digital literacy among students. Additionally, the inclusion of film screenings adds an entertaining and cultural element, providing a platform for film enthusiasts to share diverse cinematic experiences and contributing to the overall campus culture.

Moreover, the booth features a unique entrepreneurial aspect with students actively participating in food sales. Here, culinary talents are showcased as students prepare and sell a variety of snacks and beverages. This not only adds a practical dimension to the initiative but also generates revenue, which can be reinvested to improve the booth's infrastructure or support other student-led initiatives on campus. The collaborative nature of this venture promotes interdisciplinary interactions and cultivates a sense of community among students from various academic backgrounds.

In conclusion, the student-operated ICT booth with film viewing and food sales creates a dynamic and inclusive space on campus. Cultural Extravaganza

Festivities provide a window into a community's spirit, revealing its identity, history, and customs. The Ilocos Sur Festival in the Philippines is a symbol of the rich cultural tapestry that the people of the province of Ilocos Sur have weaved together. This yearly festival is more than just a set of events; it's a lively reunion that highlights the distinct history of this area by uniting the past and present.

A vibrant tapestry of parades, traditional dances, and cultural events is the core of the Ilocos Sur Festival. The lively colors of costumes that honor the province's past fill the air, and the streets come alive with the infectious beats of traditional music. Every dance conveys a tale that has been passed down through the years, uniting the present with the Ilocano people's historical roots.

Local artisans and craftspeople use the event as a venue to display their work. Visitors are able to recognize the talent and inventiveness of Ilocano craftsmen through the display of intricate handicrafts, traditional textiles, and indigenous artwork. A gustatory dimension is added to the celebration by culinary delights that showcase regional specialties and delicacies, stimulating the senses and taking guests on a sensory excursion through the region's culinary legacy.

The Ilocos Sur Festival is vital to the preservation and advancement of cultural identity, even beyond its spectacle. When people gather to celebrate their common history and customs, it becomes a source of pride for the community. Younger generations engage with the past through the celebrations, learning about their heritage and strengthening relationships to family and community.

The celebration fosters a vibrant interaction between tradition and modernity by acting as a link between the ancient and the new. The festival includes modern artistic and entertainment forms while being deeply anchored in the traditional traditions that have defined Ilocos Sur for centuries, making it relevant to a wide range of viewers. This fusion, which has evolved while maintaining its core values, is a reflection of the Ilocano culture's adaptability and tenacity.

To sum up, the Ilocos Sur Festival is a cultural extravaganza that masterfully weaves together the strands of art, culture, and community. It is more than just a display. The celebration of local arts and cuisine, colorful parades, and traditional dances turn the event into a live tribute to the rich legacy of Ilocos Sur. It serves as a symbol of cultural pride, a time for the neighborhood to unite, celebrate its history, and look forward to the future with a strong feeling of self.

Exploring the Timeless Charm of Vigan City

Vigan City, nestled in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, enchants visitors with its UNESCO-listed Spanish colonial charm. Cobblestone streets, ancestral houses, and horse-drawn calesas weave a captivating tapestry of history and culture. Beyond its architectural allure, Vigan is a living testament to Filipino resilience, celebrated through festivals and a commitment to preserving its unique heritage. Step into Vigan, where the past meets the present in a timeless embrace.

The Longganisa Festival is one of the various activities held in Vigan City every January. One of the greatest events of that day was street dancing, which is observed on January 22. Every competitor, including those in the elementary and secondary categories, is exceptionally skilled at dancing. They use Vigan-made Abel for their costumes. It stands out from the other fabric since it is so different from the others thanks to its vibrant colors and distinctive style.

There is a carnival in addition to street dance where you can shop, eat great cuisine, and ride various rides. Because rides are not yet open during the day, a lot of people will test foods and wish to ride the rides at night.

Lastly, a longganisa festival would not exist without the Longganisa Cookfest. The major ingredient in each of the contenders' recipes is longganisa. They all produced incredibly tasty cuisine, and it's common knowledge that bigueƱos are skilled cooks.

One of the nicest places I've ever seen is Vigan City. There are lots of tourist sites, and the locals are really kind and helpful. I really recommend that you visit this stunning location. You must also sample their delectable cuisine. Here, you may eat while taking in the lovely scenery.
